Day 1: Narita/Haneda - Tokyo
Welcome to Japan! Upon arrival at the airport, exchange your 14 Days Economy JR Pass and catch the train on your own to your accommodation.

Day 2: Tokyo (B, L)
After breakfast, walk a short distance to your meeting point in Shinjuku and begin full day tour of Tokyo visiting Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine, one of the most famous Shinto shrines of Tokyo and continue to the historical Imperial Palace. This is followed by a visit to Asakusa, famous for Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise district and the Kaminarimon Gate. Enjoy a western-style semi buffet for lunch. Continue to the beautiful Hamarikyu Gardens, before concluding with a visit to the iconic Tokyo Tower (only including tickets to the main deck) and ending at Tokyo station. Please make your own way back afterwards.

Day 3: Tokyo - Mt Fuji & Hakone (B, L, D)
Pack an overnight bag and leave your main suitcase with the hotel reception early morning for them to be transferred to your hotel in Kyoto. After breakfast, begin the day travelling to the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji by coach, enjoying the spectacular views 2,300m above sea level. Enjoy a Japanese cuisine for lunch, before heading on a cruise on the breathtaking Lake Ashi. Complete the day with a ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. You will be dropped off at your ryokan afterwards. Enjoy their onsen facilities and dinner included.

Day 4: Hakone - Kyoto (B)
After breakfast, make your own way to Odawara station (tickets not included) and catch the bullet train to Kyoto. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Kyoto starting with a visit to the incredible Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, famous for the red Senbon Torii gates. The tour will continue will continue to Sanjusangen-do Temple, the world's longest wooden structure housing 1,001 life-size statues! The last stop is the World Heritage Site, Kiyomizu-dera temple where you can experience wonderful views of Kyoto. The tour ends back near Kyoto station.

Day 5: Kyoto - Hiroshima & Miyajima - Kyoto (B)
After breakfast, catch the bullet train to Hiroshima and start of with a trip to Miyajima via bus and ferry. See one of the most iconic shrine and also known to be "floating" on the water, Itsukushima Shrine. After a little break to grab lunch on your own (not included), return to Hiroshima where you will visit the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome, which will give you an insight of the area during WWII. After the tour end, catch the bullet train back to Kyoto.

Day 6: Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto (B, L)
Following breakfast, begin your day tour with a visit to the beautiful World Heritage Sites, Nijo Castle and Kinkaku-jo Temple. The historical castle is sure to impress, whilst the spectacular "Golden Pavilion" is a must see in Kyoto. This is follow by a visit to Kyoto Imperial Palace, once the Emporer's residence. After the lunch break, you will be visiting a couple of more World Heritage Sites with Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. See one of the largest wooden structures in the world and Nara's most celebrated shrine. Spot the famous deers of Nara roaming at Nara Park, and complete the trip with some souvenir shopping at Nara Nagomikan before heading back to Kyoto.

Day 7: Kyoto (B)
After breakfast, free day at leisure.

Day 8: Kyoto - Naoshima - Kyoto (B)
After breakfast, catch the bullet train to Okayama to meet up with your guide. Travel by public transports to to Naoshima. The island is known for its impressive outdoor sculptures, unusual architecture, and modern art museums, including the famous polka-dot pumpkin. The tour will end back in Okayama. Make your own way back to Kyoto.

Day 9: Kyoto - Kanazawa (B)
Following breakfast, free time to explore on your own. Make your own way to Kanazawa when ready with JR Pass.

Day 10: Kanazawa - Shirakawago - Kanazawa (B)
After breakfast, use your return bus tickets and self-explore the World Heritage Site, Shirakawago, famous for its breathtaking scenery and charming traditional atmosphere.

Day 11: Kanazawa (B)
Following breakfast, free time until you will start an afternoon tour of Kanazawa. Begin with a visit to the former samurai district, followed by one of top three gardens in Japan, with Kenrokuen. After enjoying the beautiful garden and conclude with a visit to Higashi Chaya-gai, a street reminscent of the Edo period, before returning to hotel.

Day 12: Kanazawa - Tokyo (B)
After breakfast, free day at leisure. Make your own way to Tokyo when ready.

Day 13: Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo (B, L)
After breakfast, depart by trains to Nikko. Get on the bus to Kanmangafuchi Abyss, a small gorge formed by an eruption of Mt. Nantai. There is a row of approximately 70 stone statues of Jizo along the river. Enjoy a Japanese style lunch before heading on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The shrine is a sacred place with over 400 years of history. Return back to Shinjuku by bus and trains.

Day 14: Tokyo - Narita (B)
